Our Services

  • Acupuncture involves inserting fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body to relieve pain and stimulate healing. It is part of an ancient healing system that has evolved over at least 5,000 years and is referred to as Chinese Medicine or Traditional Chinese Medicine. This holistic approach considers the individual’s emotions, diet, habits, and environment as well as their physical signs and symptoms.

For individuals who cannot tolerate needles, acupressure offers an alternative by stimulating the same points using pressure without breaking the skin.

This healing method is based on a network of pathways called meridians, through which energy, or "Qi", circulates within the body. Internal and external factors can disrupt or weaken the natural flow of Qi, leading to discomfort or disease. By targeting specific points along the meridians, acupuncturists help restore the balance of energy, improve circulation, and support organ function. As a result, the body activates its innate healing capabilities, promoting enhanced health and vitality.

  • Allergy Elimination is a specific method using muscle testing to assess a patient’s reaction to various substances to determine their sensitivity and then clearing the allergy by combining acupressure, acupuncture and breath. This method follows the principles of homeopathy. The treatment is done while the person holds a vial containing the substance or “essence” of the substance. This can be used for airborne, food or chemical allergies. Sometimes this technique is called “Allergy Deprogramming.” In some cases, allergies can be eliminated or lessened quickly. It can be done without the use of acupuncture for those who do not wish to have needles.

  • Cupping therapy offers a myriad of benefits for both physical and mental well-being. By creating suction on the skin's surface, cupping helps to increase blood flow, promoting the healing of muscles and tissues and reducing inflammation. This technique can effectively alleviate muscle tension, stiffness, and pain, making it ideal for athletes, individuals with chronic pain conditions, or those recovering from injuries. Additionally, cupping is believed to stimulate the lymphatic system, aiding in detoxification and improving immune function. Beyond its physical benefits, cupping also induces a deep sense of relaxation, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and even promoting better sleep.

  • I have many years of experience in treating plantar fasciitis resulting in success stories where runners get back to running, hikers get back to hiking and others get back to their daily activities with little or no pain. Acupuncture is combined with foot massage and at-home protocols which get you back to normalcy.

Plantar Fasciitis is a condition where the bottom of the foot becomes inflamed and painful. The band of fascia that runs from the heel to the toes and supports the arch is affected. It can be caused by an injury, overuse, wearing improper shoes, running on hard surfaces or other activities that put stress on the feet. It is common to have only one foot affected. One indication of plantar fasciitis is sharp pain in the foot or heel with standing after being at rest.

“Cynthia’s acupuncture drastically helped my planter fasciitis!! Before seeing Cynthia, I could barely walk and my foot pain was excruciating. After one treatment, the pain lessened significantly. Since my condition was severe, I returned for more treatments for the plantar fasciitis. The treatments have tremendously helped my healing. I highly recommend this treatment. It worked wonders for me! “Laura Y, Client Testimonial

  • Energy Healing is a holistic practice that involves manipulating or balancing the body's energy fields to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Practitioners of energy healing believe that disruptions or imbalances in the body's energy flow can contribute to illness, stress, or emotional issues. Through various techniques, they aim to restore harmony, stimulate the body's natural healing processes, and enhance overall health.

Michael and Cynthia both have training and practice in several Energy Healing systems. Michael is a Reiki Master and also uses Qi Gong and can incorporate meditation in his energy healing sessions. Cynthia combines Reiki with Pranic Healing as well as guided visualization for her Energy Healing sessions.

  • Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach to enhancing the body’s natural healing processes by addressing imbalances in the craniosacral system, which includes the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Developed by osteopath Dr. John E. Upledger in the 1970s, CST focuses on releasing tension and restrictions in this system, resulting in improved overall health and well-being. Practitioners use light touch, often no more than the weight of a nickel, to assess and manipulate the subtle rhythmic motion of the craniosacral system.

One of the primary goals of craniosacral therapy is to support the body’s innate ability to self-correct. The therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, migraines, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and post-traumatic stress. It is also often used to promote relaxation and enhance general wellness. Unlike more forceful manual therapies, CST works by facilitating the body’s own natural healing mechanisms, making it a suitable option for people of all ages, from infants to the elderly.

  • Myofascial Stretching is a therapeutic technique designed to target the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, and organs in the body. Unlike traditional stretching, which focuses primarily on muscle length, Myofascial Stretching aims to release tension and restrictions within the fascia, improving mobility and reducing pain. This technique often involves slow, sustained stretches combined with gentle pressure to encourage the fascia to release and restore its natural elasticity. By addressing tightness and adhesions in the fascia, Myofascial Stretching helps enhance circulation, improve posture, and support overall body alignment, making it a valuable practice for injury prevention and recovery. It is particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic pain, limited range of motion, or conditions such as fibromyalgia.

  • Tai Chi (or T'ai Chi Ch'üan) is a traditional Chinese martial art and mind-body practice that combines slow, deliberate movements with focused breathing and mindfulness. Originally developed for self-defense, it has evolved into a practice for improving physical health, mental clarity, and overall well-being.

Tai Chi is often described as "meditation in motion" and is appreciated for its ability to enhance overall health while providing a calming, restorative experience

Tai Chi is adaptable and suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. It requires no special equipment and can be practiced anywhere.
